Women have two other qualities I can think of, bearing children and being a rock for a man to moore himself on should he be hurting.
The latter of which was a thing women did back in the day, but don't do anymore, because if it gets too icky they can leave.
A woman's personality is pretty important, and an unattractive woman might be a better catch than a otter woman if she can share hobbies and be much like a best friend. The problem with this is that most women simply don't have to develop personalities now because a lot of stuff is simply handed to them. This was fine in a world where women didn't hold down jobs, and were mostly at home, but now they get to stretch their legs.
There's no problem with women being equal to men, but unfortunately I don't think it'lll even otu for a while. I'm having trouble expressing what I mean, but essentially it's that most women can have OTHER attributes that make them attracuve that can somewhat make up for a bad appearance, but they fail to do it because it's easier just to complain and not have to work on flaws because of you group dynamic.

Beautiful things catch everyone's attention. I know Disney taught you that beauty is on the inside and that's what counts, but in real life, people HIGHLY value aesthetic, skin-deep beauty.
I've stopped fighting it and instead, play up my strengths. I've lost 30 pounds and need to lose about 25 more before I'm hot status (grill). I've accepted that playing this game, the game where how you look matters, is part of the game of life and that literally more doors and opportunities open for you if you look better.
Beauty = more chances to do more, and better, things in life. In other words, more opportunity to live life and experience things. Raging against it won't change a thing; either get on the boat or sink to the bottom of the river.

I used to have a thing girlfriend. She used to be fat, went anorexic, then got her shit together and was looking great. Her mind wasn't ok, though. I wasn't a fit guy and she started to eat as much as I ate. At one point she started getting fat and she mentioned something about it to me and I replied "yeah, you could lose some weight" and she then used that phrase to say that I call her fat and that I don't appreciate her.
I got stuck to her for 5 years. It was terrible but I just couldn't find a way to break up with without feeling guilty of her low selfsteem and specially because I was worried she would kill herself.
