Balmain is a natural choice for the theme. They've been on that dragon/asian art thing for a while now. The problem is basically where does the line of cultural appropriation/stereotyping begin?
Most of these looks have nothing to do with the theme. It's fucking sad. I understand the hesitancy to make an attempt and fail horribly like SJP, but it's possible to do the China theme well. The obvious answer is to make like Rihanna and wear an up and coming Chinese designer.
