Tried finding a copy of the minstrel show and eventually bought it from a distributor on eBay (Molemen Records)
Bought Worst Fears Confirmed at the same time after reading about it
Whole thing spiraled out of control and I started listening to EVERYBODY in Midwest underground hip hop
Mostly listen to punk and hardcore though
drake is arguably the most technically gifted of this generation but inarguably one of the blandest

Im not saying drake has the lasting power of decades but he is contributing to present day culture meaningfully regardless, and is incredibly interesting if you actually take the time to understand what his music is in its place in culture right now. He's incredibly boring. He raps over the easiest beats, usually samples dad music. The only time he's somewhat decent is when he's ripping off guys like Kendrick. I can't think of a more corny rapper, he's the kind of guy some white kids in college say "man this guy is REAL music!" I can't help but cringe when I listen to him.
