I'll try and give you a decent answer, since I feel like there is some shilling going on in this thread.
Mine is from 2 years ago in navy, back when it had dark leather instead of light. The backpack itself is nice and sturdy. The canvas is thick and lasted a lot longer than the jansport and other crappy ones I had in high school.
One of my leather straps isn't full grain I think, as it is all wrinkled and messy now. But the leather accents are nice, and unless you get my apparently rare problem, the quality of the leather won't be an issue. (What are you gonna do oil your backpack leather?)
The only real complaint I have (as a physics student transferring to aerospace eng.) is that they backpack isnt too roomy. So as you put books in, the opening makes it harder to get stuff in comfortably. It isn't a big deal as long as you just cycle through your books day to day.
Overall, it is a pretty good cop. I've had a single person point out the face, but I get a fair amount of compliments on mine so I'm pretty happy with it considering the price and all.

I have the snap backpack in reverse denim and can't recommend it enough, but a word of warning: the side pockets can't hold a large water bottle like a Nalgene. Plan ahead and stay hydrated, fam.

It's not just you. The leather on mine is shit too. And one of the straps has a loose button. And there's a huge patch of light blue on the back where my butt is.
