HK is more effay (or at least the Wong Kar Wai movies make it seem that way)

Shanghai's a nice city but not very /fa/ imo. It still needs to develop more culture and it's mostly dominated by consumerism rn.
NYC is one of my favorite places. /fa/ people are plentiful and you never get bored.

NEW YORK
PARIS
LONDON

that's it.
There's a huge power gap between these and say HK, Tokyo, Moscow, or countries like Italy, Brazil, Canada or Australia.

LOndon for men's fashion
Paris for women's
New York for overall

Italy outsourced its fashion to China and a lot of quality was lost.
Japan skims the edge just with its weirdness and innovation

Everywhere else is hugely behind.

HK is nicer than Shanghai

London is pretty cool

You're right for strictly clothing, but in terms of lifestyle, culture, etc., the other cities you mentioned are decent contenders.

London
Berlin

The only reason people think New York is great is because there are so many fucking people there. So someone out of many is bound to do something great.

It really just sucks because there's so many fucking people packed into one city.

New Yorkers manner of dress seems to be very classic, yet a lot of what I have seen had been tired out when I was living there. I live in LA right now, and the art and fashion scene is pretty quirky, colorful and weird since it's hard to dress in black when the sunshine's directed at you yet it is still extremeo gaudy. My LA Asian(-American) friends dress pretty on point, and my east coast Asian(-American) friends dress /horrendously/, though they are ten times more academic.

I actually think Cascadia (Seattle and Vancouver) is going to be up-and-coming for art and fashion, maybe? Toronto was a fucking effay city when I visited. And Dublin was the fucking opposite.

People of the Steppe have on point sense of color imo

Of the cities I've visited Berlin was my favourite.

Granted, the only big cities I've been to as of now were London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Antwerpen.

Antwerpen as a city is pretty boring but it obviously is fashionable historically speaking.

London was great, going back in May so I can experience the city better, last and first time I was there it was a bit rushed.

Amsterdam is where I study.

But Berlin was my favourite, when you visit the right clubs you'll meet many cool people, also I saw a lot of designer pieces (guy wearing full-Rick Owens, guy wearing Raf Simons x Sterling Ruby, couple of people wearing SLP more I can't remember right now)

If anyone can recommend me cool shit to do in London from 29th of may until 1st of june I'd appreciate it. Keep in mind though I'll be pretty much completely broke by then so I won't be copping anything crazy expensive. However, I am open to going to designer stores to just check things out.

So far I have Dover Street Market and Harrods from the top of my head. But I'm more interested in cool things to do.

I guess my friend who showed me around was just a lot more /fa/ and cultured lol

In hindsight, he actually bought clothes online from my friend's friend from LA

They do, however, have a god-tier color temperature/lighting most of the year which is extreme overcast

Portland>Seattle
People are a lot more individualistic in Portland so you often see some crazy (sometimes dope) fits. Not to mention we have a great food scene and decent boutiques.

Coming from the UK I always thought Portland looked pretty cool. Might be going to New York in the summer though.

New York sucks in the summer because it's really humid. It feels like you stepped into a sauna. You should go to Portland during the summer. It's not humid and the weather's basically perfect for 3 months.

Yea to make it worse i'll more than likely be working on a construction site if I do go.
