I've been looking to buy a pair myself, but I'm torn between the 998 and 788z models. I really like the taller heel (pictured) but im not sure if that's the only difference. Does anyone know more about them?

I mainly want those sick creases
>>
>>9551302
What leather is that? Fuck that's beautiful.

And what's the model on OP's?
>>
>>9551309
Fairly sure they're 988 backzips
>>
>>9551320
I thought 988 have stacked heels?

I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

God these look so good
>>
>>9551278
Same here. Double sole and double heel, think that's the only difference, s indicates skinnier shaft.

I like the heel just fear it will be too feminine
>>
>>9551309
Looks like soft horse or donkey
>>
>>9551358
So the z indicates it has a skinnier shaft? And I thought that too, but I just love how the heel looks, who cares what anyone else thinks.

Why are there so many variants of these shoes in all kinds of leathers?

Whats the difference between the horse; pig; donkey etc?
Are some more durable?
Does Guidi have a physical store when I can hand their footwear?

I really like these boots and just leather boots in general, can a non-skeleton pull off herion chic? ( not fat but just normal figure )

Kinda hard to say since most of the people wearing them are hungry skeletons but I don't see why not

Distressed lace-up boot.

One of the first things I fell in love with in fashion.

Where are you guys even finding these boots? All the links I've found are to people's shitty blog marketplaces

Wouldn't mind having a pair of 788s. Definitely going to be my next pair of boots after expanding my wardrobe a bit.

Fuuuuck I'd kill myself. I'm sorry for your loss :(

>>9552283
Yeah I think I've decided on the 788z. I'm pretty sure there's no difference in the toebox between them and the 988, which is the main thing I'm worried about. The thicker sole, bigger heel, and slimmer shaft sealed the deal for me.
>>
>>9552321
there clearly is a difference in the toe box
that particular pair looks unstructured toe
>>
>>9552321
I'd suck dick for that pair of boots

>>9552331
I meant in terms of the slimness of the toe, there isn't much difference. If anything, the 788 is slimmer.
>>
>>9551640
All of the Guidi leathers are great and if you take care of them you won't have many problems at all. Although the difference lies in the leather, depending on the leather types it may be softer or stiffer. Softer leather is prone to the winkling and layering of the shoes that guidi are so known for, so if that's the case go for horse. Other kinds have different effects and silhouettes. Ask for on foot pictures if you're a buyer.
>>
I'm a tts 45 with a wide ass foot (usually have to wear 46-47)

will I ever fit into guidi?

If you size up more you might, but if anything you should try them on somewhere or look into different brands

how much are they, 1k?

I mean, it's a lot, but in line with the high end.

I think I'd rather sink the money into gazianos, but this is definitely part of a look.

gothninja vs wealthcore
>>
>>9552552
Of course they can some people here spend a lot on clothes. I bought guidis myself, they're amazing boots but I don't think I suit them and so I don't even wear them.

The problem with these is they only really work (from what i've seen) with someone sho is very slim. Also they can look bad if you have huge feet (though that goes for most shoes).

boots with chunkier toes (like rick's creepers) look better on people with non skeleton legs.

I know the guy in pic related has a p shit fit anyway but you can see what i mentioned with the boots in this pic.
>>
2edgy4me

i'll just stick with my SLP Chelseas ;)
>>
>>9553011
Yeah, that fit is pretty bad. Guidis work with a particular aesthetic and clothing within that style. It's difficult to style guidis with 'normal' clothes. The jeans and shirt in that pic are not interesting at all. The cuts are boring and all the same shade of black looks horrible. Stagehand at a theater instead of cool edgy fucker.
>>
>>9553011
I agree and disagree. They don't really look bad in bigger sizes as they're not sneakers, and they're not boots either. They're sleek, they work with simple and thin very well. So having a size 12 or 11 foot doesn't look bad with Guidis, because they're sleek enough it doesn't appear to be clownish, take the same size Guidi and replace it with Ramones or something in the same size and it'll look hilarious if your proportions aren't perfect.
Also, I get what you're saying about them looking weird on bigger guys. Particuarlly guys with big legs but I guess that could be rectified by playing around with drape/clothing length/layering.

Being /fa/ while also being fit isn't impossible, just significantly harder and requires a bit more creative ingenuity.
>>
>>9553025
i might educate u so u can make more informed purchases in the future as a fashion consumer

guidi is heritage povera

hedi slimanes ysl is redressed britrock chic

obvious which is more edgier
>>
>>9553011
i own rick creepers and guidi they both look great on a slim figure

rick sneakers not so much though
they truly suit bulkier frames only

theyre the only ones keeping that market alive right now

Guidi is great really, but i can see this devolving into meme status like rick and cp's within a month or so (on /fa/ anyway).

Countdown until wtc cheap guidi alternatives in 3... 2...
>>
>>9553105
I'll need more inspo to shoe you're not just talking out your ass on the basis of a single photo. Also, I'd wager they're easier for women to style because skin tight pants are common for women but still a fringe/hungry skeleton trend for men. Like when have you seen a dude wearing skinnies in that wash?
>>
>>9553271
>to shoe
haha unintentionally funny typo
meant to write show
>>
>>9551640
Calf is shiny, kangaroo is skinny but very flexible and retains it shape great, soft horse is my favorite, donkey honestly looks like donkey.

>>9551389
Z is double sole and heel, s is skinny shaft. Idk 988 or 788. Only diff is sole/heel I believe.
>>
>>9553316
Love this but my feet are very flat so I doubt these will ever work

>>
>>9553338
Most people seem to find it gay here. Ive heard horrible things about the zipper tho, most say it falls off if u wear them allot because they dye them. Leathers so amazing

>>9553325
Yes he can (:
>>
>>9553346
His username on SZ, where he often posts in the waywt thread, is Shuit.
>>
>>9553350
His full name is Shui Tsang from his tumblr
>>
>>9553346
i think he is referring to his sz handle u tumblr fanboy piece of shit

>>9553347
guidi has dipped a little of the last few seasons

zippers only break if ur rough on them zipping up and down everyday as expected

customer service team is amazing with replacements however

ccp is far worse for this

they wont become the flavour of the year meme shoe so long as they stay unaffordable and relatively unaccessable to all the suburban mouth breathers that pollute this board
