I think scientists would like to study my hair as i'm fairly certain it's denser than a neutron star
what do with hair? currently growing out the top, but the sides are becoming a real hassle. hats/beanies/etc are not an option to wear during the day.

Can anybody show me what the back of this is supposed to look like?
My top is about 7", my sides are a 2 and the back is about a 3.
I usually use water-based pomade to slick it back, very much like the guy in OP but the back of my head has an extremely sharp contrast in the transition from the long top to the short back hair.
In other words, I feel like I can't blend it well because of its length. I have thin straight Asian hair so that probably makes it a bit harder to blend.
Tried growing out my hair but couldn't stand the awkward phase, so I trimmed the back. Thoughts?

First pic is after my last haircut at the end of November. Second one is 2 1/2 weeks ago, last two are today.
Waiting for your hair to grow sucks man. I just hope it will end up looking decent at some point, right now it's hard to do stuff with it that doesn't look stupid.
Also started doing no-poo over a month ago and I'm really happy with it.

How are the sides a hassle? Most barber shops will do some quick maintenance on your sides and back for free if you're a regular customer.

Pic is a little old, and the sides have gotten longer. My sideburns are very messy and not straight, and they're not long enough to put my behind my ear. In the back I have curling towards the bottom too, and it just looks messy.
