I'm 20, cut dairy out of my diet for the most part, don't eat a bunch of shitty foods, only drink water and tea and sometimes a cup of black coffee, wash my face regularly and have an untouched side of the pillow case for every day of the week, and still have acne on my face/back/chest/shoulders.
I even did accutane and my face cleared up for the last two months, and then I started to bleed from my ass when I took a shit and my acne just came back after the treatment was over. Who knows, maybe I developed some other fucked up problems while I was taking accutane too!

I have so far had two courses of trimethoprim sxt to fix pathogenic Staph aureus infections on my face. But of course, you're right, only one bacterium could ever cause skin infections.
I had cystic acne until I was 22, particularly bad on back but also occaisional huge, painful zits on face. Finally did a six month cycle of accutane. Sucked while I was on it- dry skin, constnatly chapped lips, dry scalp- but it cleared me up completley. Over a year later and acne has been 95% gone. Only the occaisional whitehead if I've been lazy and haven't changed pillowcase in a while. Seriously do it if acne is a huge problem.
