Why do you carry a knife around? Is it because you want to harm children? It truly is a social poverty when people are walking around with dangerous weapons.

I'm always torn when it comes to knives. I want something that looks good, but at the same time I don't want one that looks so good I'll feel bad about using the shit out of it

just get a single blade folder that has a carbon blade and has a good handle. your definition of good may vary, for me it's simple (read: not overly designed) and build too last. the good news is that the ones that these are usually less expensive and more "indémodable" for lack of a better word.
I'd recommend something based on a traditional model, like a mercator, opinel, douk-douk, laguiole, etc.
there are some american good american brands too.
Just dropped 150 on a custom Buck 110 for my dad's upcoming 60th birthday, is it /fa/?
S30V blade, nickel bolsters / rivets, oak handle, brown leather sheathe, his name / initials / date of birth engraved on the blade and bolsters

aw that's a nice gift anon. maybe the initials + name is a lil too much

honestly? I just wish you'd have taken it to some jewler or someone who could have done a proper job with the engraving instead of this horrible layout that will be etched on there. It's so fucking tacky.
Other than that it's ok, pretty nice actually.
dad should be happy

I'd have loved to get something more ornate, but time and money were factors - his birthday is coming up pretty soon, and the custom job already takes 4- 6 weeks, might as well get it engraved by Buck at the same time
The actual engravings look a little better in person than they do in the online mockups, especially once they age a bit

I stand corrected, I thought it would be one of those electric etchings, looks like it's indeed engraved or at least milled or something, that's way better.
The stamping on the blade is also a nice feature
knives aren't toys that you keep in your pocket
very swag, effay, edgy
Just got this recently. It was my grandfather's, but he died before I was born. I think it's neat.

What world did you grow up in? Had a knife in-pocket since age 4. You're compensating for your lack of skills with a smaller knife. And your tiny dick.

Sry this ain't /k/
why do u carry knives? is it for ~protection~ or are you using it as a tool?
this one.
>>9530930
This is a good and solid knife, so if he likes older knifes or wants a tank you're good. S30V is one of the higher production steels. I'd only recommend a wood for the handle if possible.
