Thoughts from Milan, and London thus far?
i'm looking at the gucci show....what an interesting place to take the line.

quite a few of the pieces are nsfw, but some of this stuff doesn't strike me as "gucci" but it's very on trend regarding the 70s look that seems to be dominating lately.
I LIKE it, but idk, I don't like it as "Gucci" y'all know what I mean?
then again, my favorite gucci show is SS2011, so eh grain of salt I guess
On another note, I can imagine alot of this stuff translating VERY easily into stuff commoners can/will wear, so maybe that was Michele's plan all along?

the cut and drape of the garment is really the biggest "80s" characteristic here, and thats probably what I liked LEAST about the 80s.

Sheer stuff isn't something that everyone is ever going to do(at least not for quite some time) but I think it has been gaining some traction over the last few years, although not in the way it has been done on the runaways but i've been seeing it more, and not just online.

Don't really know where you're going with this. Sheer jerseys are an incredibly common part of the standard casualwear lexicon for anybody who even remotely touches on sportswear. If you're talking about things like sheer chiffon blouses/dresses, then you're forgetting this is just runway styling and real customers will always have layers/bandeaus/slips to wear with it.

London is full of interesting stuff and the chief place to see new ideas in clothing. Not always retail-friendly, but it's a fantastic place for designers to experiment and people to take them seriously.
Milan is just about clothes. Not really fashion, but clothes. Nice clothes, wearable clothes, expensive clothes, but that's it.
