Just go with the Clarks, I don't care for their shoes really, but I love these boots. The leather is very soft and thin and doesn't wrinkle much at all. These are going to be my main summer shoes. Since they're thin my feet don't sweat and they look good laced up and unlaced. I got them for $105 on amazon. The Clarks store did not have any black leather anything.

Well these get folds/creasing about an inch to the top of the shaft, so I imagine the creasing on the ankle boot is the same minus the inch or so of shaft length. Also since its double lined horse the creases are really hold their shape and wont be creasing differently every wear. I imagine other lined leather is the same, but I imagine non reversed leather creases more permanently since you cant simply brush the contrast away. That's what is keeping from buying some full grain in used condition. The creasing will stack on top each other because of two different wearers and I don't know if you can soak the creasing away on full grain horse/leather.

Yea, they're true to size. I wear a 10 in most nike shoes, sometimes a 9.5 and I wear a 43 in these.
Tbh, they've worn. I've worn them 3-4x a week for the last year. I wouldn't spend more than 300 on them. They're definitely worth 200-250. More than that might be a little much. Just lurk eBay and grailed if you must. There's a slightly used pair on eBay last I saw on a 43 for around 250 that were in excellent condition.
