My biggest regret is all of my old black shit. My style went from black pf flyers, black 511s, plain tee, and an indigo trucker to a more heritage/western/tech one. I wore a denim shirt with a bolo tie brown faded chinos pinrolled with these shoes to class yesterday. Obviously the trucker jacket still works, but my white j1s, black roshes, black pfs, and black malis are all obsolete to me. I have more interesting shoes now.

J1 mids are a better looking af1 imo. I hate the wedge like silhouette of af1s. My basketball shoes now are these because I wore out my js and they're just beaters now. I got the roshes 2 years ago. These are heavy but great because they're so stiff and it's easy to roll forward onto your toes when you jump shot.
