The sole is just far too big, and unfortunately they were a gift without a receipt so I couldn't return them.
I listened to the size down troll and bought CP's in 45 at retail even though I wear a size 46 in sneakers. Do not size down if you have wide feet. I wear a 13D (not even a 13E) and I had no room whatsoever in the toebox. So I sold mine and went with CP BBall Lows in 46. They are a little too long, but they are still wearable.
So the moral of the story is you're kind of fucked when it comes to Common Projects if you have somewhat wide feet at size 13.
I also bought a pair of Wolverine 1K Miles in size 12 and they fit better than my Iron Rangers and Indy Boots. The problem is that Wolverine's leather soles are so shitty that they have to be changed out. One will be sliding around on tile or hardwood floors after a while. I still have my Wolverine's and am wondering what to do with them.

Um, no, that's not the case at all. That is not uniform at all. It varies all the time; I've seen 13 equated to size 46 up to size 47.5. Margiela usually goes up to size 46 and is usually equated to a size 13.
