I use my 2009 MBP for burning CD's and my 2014 rMBP for everything else
are laptops so popular because people need them for work? in my life my smartphone has completely eliminated the need for a portable computer. i don't get why someone would spend so much when they can get way better specs for less with a desktop. is mobility really worth that much?

Even if it came with a CD drive it would be useless to me since the only CD I use are blurays and LG had an external Bluray drive for $50 that works with OSX.
