I like the canvas ones better in navy than the taupe but I see the aesthetic you're going for. I like the leather better but the soles ruin it for me.
If you like that minimal aesthetic you might really like sandals from Ancient Greek. I've tried APC's shoes on in person and the construction is around the same level as Jeffrey Campbell. I mean $200 isn't expensive but it's not great either. Really depends how often you plan on wearing sandals.
