Hello /fa/.
Femanon here, 17. I've been a lurker here for a few years, and I've decided to try and improve my own wardrobe.
My current wardrobe is pretty much cheap mall quality shit that varies a lot. I don't have a definite style, and because I haven't grown since I was 15 I still have clothes from then. Recently at school my clothing has been called "dyke-ish", and I want to start dressing more feminine, but I also don't think I can pull it off. I'm pretty skinny, being 5'1" and 98 pounds, so I have no problem with fat bulging out or stuff like that, it's because I don't wear makeup or style my hair like other girls. I haven't worn a dress since 2008, and I wouldn't know where to start buying "girly" things. I also feel like I can't just start all of a sudden wearing different things and wearing makeup.
Can you /fa/ggots help me?

how about trying some black things and don't break the fucking bak at once , get some higher quality items and try to improve towers you start liking and black is the best black
>>9283984
Nice eyes, meh hair
Given a few more years you would be quite the looker.
As a teen no need to focus on high end clothes, just enjoy high school and life right now
Underage b&. MODS
Sudden changes in style are always jarring. Don't do it all at once. I wouldn't even start with the clothing, try getting a new hair cut, or just styling it a new way. Your head is like 90% of what people notice about you.
Don't give in. Dyke-ish looks fine. Maybe try tapering some things or getting things that accentuate your hips?
Take a page out of pic related.
Just get a couple basic, simple things that you genuinely think look good every month or so. This will 1) give you time to discover your taste before you spend thousands of dollars on designer shit and 2) make the wardrobe change less sudden and more gradual, probably causing less people to notice
>>9284008
This isnt a nsfw board. I thought it didnt matter if youre underage here
>>9284029
It does, global rule # whatever
don't buy anything expensive yet
dont worry about finding a definitive style because if you try, it becomes contrived
start saving inspo and note down what you like/dislike about everything
buy cheap basic shit from uniqlo or cos or something and see what works with you and what doesnt
give yourself a year or two and shit will make sense. yeah waiting sucks but your sense of fashion wont come to you overnight; else you'll end up like the boring guys in the waywts

Eh Heidi bleh this board has been obsessed with him since the tail end of dior.
Seriously though, can't advise little kids to start dumping their mcwages into fashion.
Just hit up forever 21 and dress like charli xcx or whatever the teens are passively interested in this year.
Go to sephora or Mac for a free makeover and try to emulate the look you got by a sales woman by watching Michelle phan once in awhile.
When I was her age bush was president so you guys can give advice to the children here
>>9284055
Why not?
>>9284072
Give credit were credit is due. No more, no less. There's a world of different designers out there, explore a little.

Advice for OP if she is actually the pictured girl:
>Can you /fa/ggots help me?
No. None of the thirsty children on this board can help you. If you want a sense of style, do some research instead of asking a bunch of idiots on 4chan. Based on your description of your taste, Hel Looks could be a good starting point.
>it's because I don't wear makeup or style my hair like other girls.
No, you are not special

hi op, first of all, delete this thread, and then repost it so that you don't get banned for being underage.
in the meantime think on these things:
is there a woman who's style you like alot?
what do you want to project with your look?
what colors do you like/dislike?
you're short, so thats something to keep in mind.
there are enough of us girls on the board that you can get some actual help, it'll just take a few days.

>I can't just start all of a sudden wearing different things and wearing makeup.
That's where you're wrong. Do it and do it for yourself.
>>9284029
little boy pls go.
>>9283984

>>9284161
I cant delete it, its too old. Only the gods can help me now.
>>9284175
a sudden change like that is probably likely to get OP bullied even more.
to OP, my advice would be to make subtle improvements that make you feel good about yourself. start wearing subtle makeup or get a haircut. buy a couple clothes that fit you well. etc. this is more of a self confidence thing than a fashion thing, although a lot of this board is like that
>>9284098
I wasnt implying that i was special, i was just saying that because of how i currently present myself, it might be a big step to go from naked face to makeup pretty much overnight.
>>9284193
>subtle improvements
I disagree. If you try a little you're easier prey. They know they've had an effect on you and can really crush you then.
If she does a complete turnaround people will just think she grew out of her dike phase, and if she does it for herself like I said, she'll be happy seeing herself blossom into a qt.
>>9284183
oh.
wellp
anyway, it's been quite some time since I was in high school, so Idk if you'll get bullied for suddenly changing up your style, but you can shift into slowly.
just start wearing a few different pieces here and there, and bits of makeup.
how much makeup do you think you want to wear?
like "put on your face" or just foundation? some eyeliner? mascara?
on a regular basis I just wear mascara and bbcream myself.
I'll post a few random pictures; maybe you'll see something you like, and if you do; let me know!
>>9284199
you're gonna have to ignore most of /fa/.
>>9284200
if you have the confidence to pull off a complete change sure..
i know when i was going through issues like this if i had done something completely new that i was uncomfortable with that would be like a one way ticket to a nervous breakdown
OP's mileage may vary though
>>9284204
>>9284199
cn u present urself as my gf?
>>9284199
Eyeliner and mascara is all you need to change your whole look. Straighten or curl your hair too. You don't need to wear full on dresses and skirts either. If people are calling you a dyke, just wear jeans and a pink or floral shirt. Go out and buy some girly tops at the mall this weekend.
>>9284206
Yeah I guess it depends on the person.
I was bullied all throughout middle school so it hardened me I guess. Made not giving a fuck easier since I was going to get bullied either way.
>>9284216
Is it illegal for a under 18 year old to wear #2 in public?
>>9284213
you gotta make sure the mascara and everything is well done though. look up some good youtube videos, buy a decent mascara and practice
plain jane > skank whore
>>9284219
maybe-?
irl you can just wear a bra or pasties underneath...
>>9284204
I personally think it would be overkill to wear a ton of makeup, especially at my age. I know some girls at school who wear huge amounts of caked on shit, and it looks like that, shit. I have some discolorations from past acne, and that's mainly what i would like to camouflage.
I will definitely take into account what other people have said and gradually phase things in.
>>9284216
>see-through clothes
>no undergarments
I'm ok with this
>>9284227
>gradually phase things in.
pussy nigga
go hard or go home
>>9284227
just do some natural looking / conservatively applied makeup
i dont think theres any girls that look worse with makeup on, it's just about skill applying it
>>9284227
even if you think it's overkill its still a good thing to learn
mb over time ull figure out how to incorporate it into your own style
>>9284232
this
walk in wearing a black blazer black turtleneck black pants and black heels
slay those shits
>>9284227
Yeah. Look up youtube tutorials. go for a simple winged eyeliner look or something. if you want to hide your acne discolorations, use concealer.
>>9284227
okay; well in that case, i would probably just wear some bb cream or foundation.
alot of people like maybeliine's dream fresh bbcream, but you can do your own research.
drug store brands are okay if you need to save money, don't worry about trying to buy the most expensive thing.
knowing how to do fancy makeup is worthwhile, but its a personal preference, and it isn't at all essential.
you don't HAVE to phase stuff if, but you know it's all up to you.
i've never had the money to just purchase a whole new wardrobe at once, so my style changes have always been gradual.
Dress like this, OP. I'd london you then.
>>9284240
>slay those shits
This guy gets it.
You have the potential OP, make them eat their words.
>>9284216
>>9284220
>>9284224
Yeah.... as nice as these look in theory, I cant wear things like this because of school policy. I also realise that you are posting these for inspo, so thanks for that. I do own one or two sheer fabric blouses, but i see them as nicer and to be saved for special occasion. Maybe thats my downfall, as i have been wearing rattier and cheaper things to school instead of slightly nicer items
>>9284248
start to phase in slightly nicer stuff as its comfortable with you
the single most important thing is being confident in what you're wearing
>>9284248
yeah, it's just inspo, if you find something you like we can run with that, and head deeper into looks like that.
some people dress up at school, some don't, I think it's important to find a middle ground.
one or two nice items, will make your outfits better, a nice blouse, and then jeans; a nice skirt and a t shirt, etc etc etc
>>9284246
As much as i would love to bust out some nice ass shit and slay, i am pretty shy and it would be hard to deal with criticism. Im not going to break down in tears if someone said anything, but i would be blushing red as a beet
>>9284270
>hard to deal with criticism
You're already getting called a dike. Just smile when they say something.
>i would be blushing red as a beet
That's cute as fuck and will only fuel your conquest.
>>9284270
you'll have to learn how to let what people say roll off your back, most people aren't gonna understand fashion, and the vast majority of people dress like shit, and so they'll think YOU'RE the one dressed "weird".
in what region do you live OP?
>>9284287
I live in northern california
>>9284292
Norcal, okay, you should have as hard a time as say....someone in the midwest, do you know what I mean?
>>9284292
>>9284270
then just stay under the radar till u get the fuck out of suburban high school tbt
>>9284299
Yeah, not as big of a metropolitan area where straying from the norm is more acceptable. It would be like dressing goth in a bible thumper town, but not as extreme
>>9284305
hmmmmm
I can understand that.
I live in So. Cal, so i can get away with some things, but not a whole lot.
>>9284309
>living in an LA suburb
>tfw you are so close to being able to dress somewhat outlandish.. but so far
>>9284313
I'm about 20 miles south of LA, and I live in a suburb of Long Beach actually.
so the vibe is almost completely different from LA tbph.
>>9284000
Has anyone really ever been as far as decided to want to go do look more like?
Do you even have a job?
>>9284319
about 20 minutes east of la, in pasadena

>>9284323

that inspo you linked looks fucking shit and anyone who wears this who isnt an aryan 6"4 model will look like a complete spacker
you know them korean style coats from ebay that all the autists think look cool but they only look cool on 1 person? thats what the shit youre linking will be like irl
>>9284344
>i dont understand what inspo is
>>9284344

>>9284344
srsly OP don't listen to these /fa/ hype-beasts who all try too hard, at 17 just buy what everyone else wheres and when you get into a niche music / fashion interest you can explore that in a year or two. It's not the wisest option to try too hard straight away and buy loads of shit that looks bad because you aren't sure what your into yet, i started off with like neutral colour t-shirts, black / blue jeans, some vans shoes and crew neck jumpers, a parka etc, just standard clothes that isnt terrible over branded stuff
most people that age just wear just like topshop and stuff, even topshop is 1 upping lots of people these days, Im 20 at university and everyone walks around wearing the same levi jeans, same nike trainers, same adidas jumper, just not wearing that makes you more /fa/
>>9284356
menswear is different from women's wear, and I think you're missing the point of alot of posts here...but w/e
>>9284361
I just want to tear a whole through the middle of that shirt with my dick. Am I alone in this?
>>9284361
i probably am tbh, womens fashion seems difficult as fuck as opposed to mens but i guessmy only advice is to not overthink it to start with, just buy low key stuff and you can work up over time
>>9284370
This is actually a perfect outfit for OP.
>>9284377
fuck. passed up on fucking a girl that had this kind of style
i messed up

I don't have a dick, so idk
>>9284377
thats cute, I like that
>>9284375
yeah, i see now.

srsly chinese people are 1 season ahead of UK fashion. I live in Sheffield and the chinese people wear the shit that the brits catch up on next year, like the 'future' shoes, crop trousers, wearing like 90% black clothing
most english people dress pretty bad so if you wear OTT stuff people automatically think you're strange. SMH
>>9284384
>passed up on fucking a girl
Why would you ever do this at all?
