Ladies what are you wearing lately?
I've been suck in oxford-style blouses, sweaters and jeans for a few years, but I'm tired of looking like a super dyke.
I want to change my style up, but I'm not sure where I should go; I do like things that are kinda androgynous, but I'm lost at the moment.

I'll post some inspo stuff I got from tumblr.
pic related I absolutely love, but I've yet to fine similar pants.

it's from the tumblr of the designer, so idk, but you can google the name/image and it'll pop up immediately.

This is all personal inspo I saved, these are looks that I like, but when I wear these things I look like a man.....
Maybe I need to start heavy tailoring everything I get off the rack; I have a boyish body, so dispite my very girly face I think people just take me for a teenage boy or something, instead of a woman.

yeah............I didn't mind looking like a boy up until last year, I had short hair, and everyone just assumed I was a teenage boy, that was fine then, but now I really hate it, but I don't want to heavily alter my style-?
I have short hair, but I'm growing it out, so until then...

I actually think these are men's pants, but I really love them anyway.....which kind of illustrates my problem I think.
>>
>>9265377
your clothing style is fine probably
perhaps try more feminine pieces like the stuff on your inspo, skirts instead of slacks, girl shoes instead of sneakers etc

I need to know where to buy all my jeans from. Just basic stuff that's good and I can buy several colors and pairs for cheap. Not excluding interesting things.
>>
>>9265392
okay, how tall are you?
I buy my jeans from AA mainly, but off the top of my head, you can get decent enough jeans anywhere, especially if you're not super tall.

Gap, American Eagle, Hudson, NPC, Nudies....Cheap Monday...
Asos is also a decent option.
What is "cheap" for you? At American Apparel you can snag slim slacks for $40ish when they're on sale.
>>9265383
yeah, I don't wear sneakers ever, mainly low heeled boots.
but I'll try your advice, maybe some glitter or more color will make my look a little cuter.

5'11
I mean I'm getting a job so under $50 is good but even less is great
>>
>>9265403
yeah, or maybe just the same stuff, just more form-fitting...idk just tossing around ideas

>>9265413
f21 is really bad but only like $8 or $10 so you can get them "in bulk" for whatever reason
>>
>>9265419
how bad is really bad?
looking for something wearable enough that looks nice. not sure what the pricepoint is for that since i'm all old navy ATM
>>
>>9265424
F21 is more or less in old navy's price class.
The garments are generally constructed poorly, and very often they fit awkwardly (but I'm a tall bitch, so ymmv).
I've found that stuff tends to fall apart rather quickly, but quite a few of my girlfriends have told me that treating everything super delicately can make them last along time, and you just have to take care of your cheap clothes well.

I still don't own anything from F21 aside from panties, so i don't have any real first hand experience tbph.
>>9265413
oh, so you're tall.
Hmm, Idk, I'd go for AA slim slacks, the inseam is 33" or 34" and you can get whatever waist size you need.
Its worth going to a AA so you can try stuff on and see how things fit (because alot of stuff is unisex) but I think that could be said of anything really.
congrats on the job though!! I've been out of work for a while, but it's nice to splurge on new clothes and stuff, haha
>>9265419
hmm, more form fitting stuff, yeah I might just go through and see about refitting and tailoring alot of my shirts or something.
When I was younger I was into the dyke-look, so alot of my wardrobe is mens oxfords or sweaters....Like that other girl, I'm also tall, so when I was 18, somehow I thought it made more sense to buy mens clothes that kind of fit, instead of womens stuff that fit super awkwardly, but in hindsight that was fucking idiotic.

If I just slim stuff up, do you think I should go for super slim and tight? Or try to drape things?
>>
>>9265455
Nothing wrong with wearing more "dyke-ish" clothes if you add a touch of femininity in order to balance it out (like jewelry or other accessories). If you're tall you can basically wear almost anything. I'd experiment with maxi skirts/dresses since most girls can't pull them off. Play around with more feminine silhouettes and you'll avoid looking like a boy.
>>
>>9265310
Accessorize.
Those make a men's outfit look effeminate, it will help you too.
>>
>>9265371
Why in bulk?
You wanna hit up alibaba or something?

What I wanna know is where are the high quality, long wearing clothing for women is at. I know about women, shopping trends and fast fashion blah, I want to stop having to buy from the men's you know.

Take Ralph Lauren for example. They have their Purple Label, and right in the brand motive it claims "lifetime quality". I look through the women's labels on RL, and no equal equivalent. Their "Collection" label only comes near. Or are you gonna say they just forgot to mention "lifetime quality" because most women don't care anyway?

Designer brands generally have much better construction/quality/material than fast fashion. Their retail pricing is definitely not worth it so wait for sales or buy second hand. Luckily it's very easy to find great deals online since women cycle through their clothes so much quicker than men. Nordstrom's in house brand Halogen is pretty good for basics. If you're looking for good denim, try midtier brands like Rag&Bone and Current Elliot. Acne doesn't make good quality denim considering the price. Vintage clothing is also an option but you'd have to style it in a way that avoids making yourself look like a grandma.
