I know, I bought it to go as pic related for Halloween, so I knew no one would be examining the fit. I figured I'd sell it anyway. You can add shoes to the "especially" list.

I have some surplus Italian army rock climbing pants that are pretty cool. They're almost like plus fours in length, but they taper quite a bit to the hem and have lacing on the cuffs if you want them tighter. Built in knee pads. Seems like they're well thought out. I just wear em as shorts sometimes.

Bought m88 parka recently, really happy with it

I sized down on the chest measurement just cause I wanted to fit well from the shoulders and chest area instead of having lot of space for movement and I was actually surprised how well it fit, I could have bit wider shoulders for it, but I'm just really not that bothered when it comes to surplus stuff.

It's a good fit. It just looks like that because the coats are open. Pictures aren't the best way to assess fit when it comes to this.
