I've read before that the rubber of the CCP shoes eventually wears down so it becomes more of a normal shoe, albeit made of kangaroo leather and probably still has a much greater lifetime. I'm not sure about the boris bidjan saberi shoes, but they are blown with light cement after being constructed normally. I'm guessing that it doesn't make too much of different in terms of the versatility, but you have to remember that designers like them aim for much more artistic standards than others

I have a pair of KVA surgery sneakers, size 44 and there's some room in the toe box, but I feel if I would have gotten size 43(my regular size) they would have been too tight all around. I put a memory foam insole and now they fit perfect. I think they might be bigger on purpose for you to be able to put ergonomic insoles inside, since those flat rubber soles are not doing your feet any favors.
