/fa/ i really need a solid winter coat. the ones i have are shitty and never keep me warm, and my area is expected to get one of the coldest winters this year.
I'm looking for something like pic related, solid black and has that extended type of hood and is waterproof (for rain and snow) but a little thicker so as to keep warm in single digit and possibly subzero temperatures. Just something durable to wear every day for the next 4 months
I know north face makes good ones but they're pretty expensive. I only have around $200 to spend. Any good suggestions?

Got this alpha industries parka yesterday,super warm. Shit fit pic included. The Orange isn't that ugly, and I like the navy blue-it's kind of iridescent. Worked well in 17 degrees.

Not sure what kind of weather you have, but North Face is no longer really considered an outdoor sports brand. Some of their ascent series stuff is decent construction, but be warned. Some high quality mid-price coats to be had from from Montbell, Mountain Hardwear, Patagonia, etc
