Looking for something hidden under my tops to keep warm during the winter.

Has anybody tried Uniqlo's heattech stuff and is it alright for that purpose? http://www.uniqlo.com/en/catalog/055.html

I know it's cheap and there are better options but I'm not too concerned about its quality as long as it keeps warm
>>
heard it was p good, never worn it though
>>
>>9089071
alright thanks

I just noticed that it's only 0.5mm thick too which is exactly what I was looking for, hopefully it will be completely unnoticeable

I'm a Heattech fan. It doesn't perform miracles (they claim it actually can generate heat...cmon...) but it does a nice job. I can wear a Heattech L/S under a sweater in situations where I'd otherwise need a coat.

Would it be noticeable if I wear it under a boxy Oxford shirt? My goal is to conceal it completely
>>
>>9089143
If you get the right size it will indeed be unnoticeable, yes.
>>
>>9089184
Cool thanks, any tips on sizing up and down or shall I just go for my normal size? I noticed that the chest width is a bit smaller than usual but I guess that's on purpose so that it fits tight
>>
>>9089212
Exactly right, get your normal size.
It doesn't work unless it's snug.

I have a light gray long sleeve shirt, it's pretty comfy under my dress shirts but it's not a miracle worker. ie. don't be stupid and expect it to be a replacement for warm sweaters/midlayers under really cold conditions.
>>
Lel wtf is it a toaster or some shit

Anyway I tried it on,
It fits as you'll expect it to fit.
A bit long(take that as you will)
Nice and p comfy

It doesn't 'make' heat it just insulates

Does the heattech line qualify as techwear, or is it psuedo-techwear?
>>
>>9089908
what you see on /fa/ is probably pseudo-techwear instead
>>
>>9089908
It's more like babby's first

Quick Uniqlo question. Don't know my exact measurements but I'm wear Medium size shirts in the US and am 5'10. Should I order a M or L?
>>
>>9090446
medium would be a better fit.
>>

Thanks breh
>>
anyone in canada have experience with uniqlo shipping?
>>
>>9090712
Be careful they penalize you about $7 if you make a return. It sucks but I'm from the US so I assume it'd suck even more for you because of shipping hassles
>>
>>9090731
my main concern is international shipping charges or any of that shit, but thanks for the advice
>>
I've got a few heattechs from last year, they block wind chill like no other.

Don't sleep in one though, even the t-shirt ones; you'll wake up sweating like a cow in the middle of the night
>>
wtf

wear a tank like a normal person
>>
Wondering how breathable it is as it's roughly 30% rayon 30% acrylic 30% polyester, the rest is spandex. Acrylic is supposedly not breathable while rayon is breathable.

Anyone knows if you sweat a lot in these and if it smells?

Heattech are extremly warm to the point I have to remove some layers mid-day as to not get a heat stroke.
>>9091295
I don't sweat much but no matter how much I layer I hardly sweat a drop while wearing heattech.
>>
>>9093622
Are you talking about the crew neck long-sleeve t-shirt ones?
>>
I have a few, it keeps you warm but sometimes too warm. I have a few nicer baselayers, these keep you warm when it's cold out, but are fine when it's room temp, heattech isn't.

What are some affordable wool ones?
