No, be well-balanced and monitor your moods. Don't buy things on an impulse. Think out your purchases and try to fit fashion into the context of your life and its existing triumphs (e.g. balancing a budget, getting into graduate school, landing the summer job you want) and it will be a fulfilling hobby. This goes for most hobbies, but if you sacrifice the pillars of your stable life (rent, relationships, etc) to impress strangers on the internet you will end up feeling emptier than before.

Its truly Effay if it comes natural to you. You have to look mellow, not disgruntled. If people think you look grumpy then you're not doing it right, if people tell you it seems like you are mellow and experienced then thats what you want.

Do you even know what mellow is? It means you're good to be around, you seem calm under most situations, and you keep people around you in check. They don't look mellow when they are modeling but they are probably chill off camera.

If you're clearly uncomfortable in them, or you're wearing it for the sole purpose of showing off: You're not effay.
I went off travelling and the different people who wore their clothes like it was part of them was really interesting. With a glance you could tell they didn't care about how others looked at them but still wore some really extra fucking clothes. I swear to god I saw some guy dressed similarly to Aladdin, but what I didn't notice was how ridiculous the fit was in contrast to everything around him, because my boy wore it with real confidence I have never seen before from somebody on /fa/.
Bottom line, it's not your pieces that should control you, it should be you controlling your your fashion. Otherwise you come off as a mindless robot reading a guide off the internet.
