The picture is too bright and blurry in my opinion.
The bold text was a good change but looks inconsistent with the other text on the screen.
The second version looks too bright and washed up, you could try using blues a little bit more closer to gray for your palette.
Try working with contrast not too aggressive but still clearly visible.

Custom colour command in KLWP. To enable it, go to colour selection of the object, check the box next to the colour picker square and then tap the calculator icon that will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. Then you tap the hex colour value field to select the colour like you normally would, but it will enable you to input a line of code instead. You can find it listed under pre-made commands. In this case, I used the "extract a muted light colour from cover art, code is $bp(lmuted, mi(cover))$" option since I wanted to the widget to keep the paler look at all times. Mind you, it will sometimes pull white from the cover, so keep in mind to carefully pick the font and colour of any text you'll have in the foreground so it remains visible.
