from what I understand, the shoe provides a high-end approach to chunky sneakers.
chunky sneakers we know like 70's converse and nike air huarache, nike sb dunk or even rick owens geobaskets have a recognizable silhouette with sometimes a nod to the past
this shoe, for example, nods to those terrible dad trainers/sneakers that you see white middle class americans wearing. pic related is the pinnacle of those shoes
the designer then added his own panelling method and colourway to make it a unique piece with a - to me- satisfying look.
in my opinion, I can't justify the price point of the shoes, though. I would however buy pic related to be that guy.
side note: the shoes I'm comparing now may not be exactly the same, but on foot you'll see they both have that same autistic vibe to them
