Hey fa, so I'm pretty much a noob at being effay. But I wanna look emo, but not like EMO or wear all black. So I listened to metal all throughout high school, college. So I wanna kinda take that look, but with a hip hop vibe cause hip hop is cool, and I wanna be cool. I am in a metal band and music is a big part of my identity so it makes sense. And I'm 25, that's not too old to wear what I want right? I never have before so I'm kinda excited. So I have a leg sleeve but I'm bout to get an arm sleeve. Another thing I'm gonna do is get very tan, and dye my hair black, and let it grow out. If I'm lucky maybe I could get away with wearing just a little mascara on my eyelashes but I'm sure that's pushing it. So I'm gonna just wear mostly dark things. Not all dark but just mostly dark. Is this gonna work, am I on the road to effay? Thanks everybody
if you keep doing you and not be a tryhard you'll be effay in no time
not to crush your dreams but emo is the most tragic subculture - it's fucking embarrassing and you'll look back when you're a bit older and wonder why you were such a fucking faggot. just don't dye your hair black please, jet black hair looks terrible on guys. good luck tho if you still want to do it

I know I've made it when my real posts are thought of as memes. I'm not trying hard, if I really cared how I looked I would have come to the realization of caring how I look before I was 25 don't ya think?

Dude if you're 25 it's time to read gq and wear chinos lol.
Dressing in black and mascara is for teenagers who hate their dads.

Yeah but I don't give a fuck! And I'm a badass nigha. But it seems fa has done all it can, thanks for your time fa
OP, I think what you're looking for is "broodcore"

Awweeeee shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, this is it boys. This is what I sought! Praise kek
I'm not sure if your joking anon but I'll try to give some advice because I'm bored and can't sleep.
Seems like you're looking for an identity. You want an emo "aesthetic" but with hip-hop and metal accents and then you want a tan. Makes no sense. Emo is circa 2007 lol
Anyways, I think everyone here agrees you should take in as much inspo, see what fits your body well, what colours works with your skin tone, take care of yourself like skin care general, etc. The basics.
One of the reasons I like palewave, there's a simplicity and effortless about it. Was a great starting point for me.
You wanna create your own unique aesthetic. It takes time anon, you won't get it right away. Good luck

Naw man I have an identity don't worry I knew this post would elicit identity talk

Like a previous anon said emo is for your teenage years.
You could dress in monochrome, wear metal band tees, black meme sneakers, comfy black pants. Wear the elements of what you like
>>11388693
Yeah metal is too but a lot of these metal heads I've noticed wear long hair into their thirties, then again metal is the most autistic music genre ( debate me on this )
>>11388701
Well I don't care for metal and I watched that Louis doco on autism so no
Long hair only really works for a few hair types and face shapes on men imo

this is the worst bait I've ever seen
