is it possible to tailor cargo pants that are loose fitting? it seems like a dumb question but i'd rather cope with that here than in front of a professional.

Thank you, but this is more what I'm looking for, from g star:
A jogger/cargo hybrid that isn't too dodgy looking - even though these are technically jeans.
It would be for cleaner, sharper fits and would cop in black or grey, as opposed to
slacker fits. I don't care too much about quality, just price, as I unfortunately
can't afford to drop big bux on pieces even if i save.
I've scoured thrift stores but they don't really do them.
I can work my way around a sewing machine so could amateurishly
tweak a budget pair, but pic related is my ideal, and not many
cheaper brands produce that sharp, futuristic look.
I'd rather not fashion a pair of cargos from scratch.

The only issue I can think of is the material possibly being too thick for your hello kitty sewing machine. You might need a machine that's more heavy duty.

nah even a $100 piece of crap from a craft store should be able to handle denim, and cargo pants material is usually a lot thinner. he should be ok. worst that will happen is he will break a lot of needles.

Agreed, I think the stuff in here is overly /cringe/ for my tastes. My favourite I've seen are the W+H cargos. Real simple and functional, also waterproof. Just out of my price range.
