people are afraid of being laughed at. this sub adds to that fear by displaying strong opinions based off nothing more than their own preference that isn't actually their own preference but rather the most popular opinion.

if people used their opinions and only theirs when picking clothes we'd see more progress. problem is that people don't even know how to do that.

and I don't mean just arbitrarily throwing pieces together ... actually figure out what colors/fabrics/styles look good together by looking at inspiration. THEN bring that knowledge to build your own style
