patagonia is normie, but far less normie than TNF. patagonia gets cred for making gear actual serious mountaineers use in 2016. TNF has been making nothing but memewear for decades, their only good line is summit series and most of it is outclassed by other brands.

Try Kuhl. I live in Alaska and they're legit. Patagonia is good, Marmot is shit, and North Face has decent shells but you should just go with loki
