Allright so i got to go to a smart casual party but it's hot and i love shorts with all my heart; considering a flat-color button down, can i wear a blazer on it without looking trash/2mismatched? what short length is better? what blazer type? what shirt? would a bow-tie fit?
should i take pic-related as a good example?
tell me what you think guys
Don't,
That is really something that can only be pulled off at Pitti Uomo.

It's an alright look if you look like a model, but normies might still laugh at you.

Why you mad tho?

Ideally, the blazer should be very casual and ""summery"". Like an unstructured linen blazer would be great.

being this mad that you never got invited to parties

if you're set on a blazer, go for a woolen (if not too warm) or a linen one, as the structure is more casual.
Shirt wise I'd go for a button down collar, which rules out bow ties, and don't be a faggot who does the top button up with no tie.
Brown leather belt can look good, especially if matched in colour with leather boat shoes. If going Suede loafers then i wouldn't go for a belt
