Am I the only one who doesn't get this trend of using instagram in the same way people would use tumblr?

I don't get it why not show your life?

I use insta as a tumblr,(like, themed aesthetics, not updates about my life) but I only post/follow original content, and its not actual photography, just random daily things i take pictures of
