I'm a private tutor with an advanced degree. It's actually a pretty low rate. Just because you are 16 and flipping burgers doesn't mean we all are.
Moreover, paying $50 once a year for pants is more expensive in the long term than buying a pair of $135 pants that last 3 years. You'll probably learn this sort of thing when you get to Precalculus.
