Hey /fa/
How do I wear a blazer without looking like an autistic tryhard? Mainly in formal settings, but also casually.

All hail the Nick Wooster god
you won't look tryhard if you go full wealthcore, but if you are buying low quality blazers and shit you will look like a poor person that tries to hard
wealthcore is expensive though so you probs cant attain it

Casual sportcoats lend themselves to this better than blazers. Cotton or linen in warm weather, and knappy fabrics like the OP pic work very well if you keep the rest of the outfit isn't turned all the way to 11 on the wealthcore scale.

Full wealthcore looks very tryhard and very few of the rich men I know dress that way ever.

google "sprezzatura" and copy some of the styles
helped me a lot with suits/blazers

>how do I wear a blazer without looking like a tryhard
>in a setting where it's absolutely required or else you get escorted off premises
...you literally cannot look like a tryhard in this scenario. You can't. Worst case scenario is "awkward programmer guy isn't comfortable in formal wear" which is like the opposite of tryhard.
use a tailor to make sure it fits
if you're not a fat fuck and don't wear stuff like jeans and dad shirts with your blazor, you should be fine.
also colors are important.

oddly, speaking as a fat fuck, jeans and dad shirts with a blazer is about the closest we can get to /fa/ without seeming ridiculous or tryhard
>>11294245
well another thing about fashion is the ideal male or female form being highlighted
you can wear what I posted in the pic as a fat guy, but it won't look as good because the guy I posted has a healthier more masculine shaped physique.
You could try bearmode if you're tall enough and got good forearms.
By buying cdgh+/yohji/ph/gbs blazers and not cosplaying wealthcore

these are pretty bad suits
>>11294658
post a good suit
in a formal setting theres no way you can look like a tryhard because it's actually appropriate to wear one
idk about casual settings its pretty difficult to not look like a redditor that watched a RMRS video and now thinks theyre style kings

this except no ph as he is a hack
go for oversized and out of place blazer as if you were being forced to wear one
don't do fucking tight blazers like some #menswear bullshit
ayy lmao

rick blazers are siqq too
I was looking for this answers for a long time, and I found the answer. Find one blazer in the cotton/jacket style. Like thicker textile. Excuse it as a jacket. I wear it to school and even wore it to a wedding. But I recommend real suit for weddings ofc. And the good part is: now I'm the "type" that wears blazers, so I can eventually wear real blazers after. U know. It's about image..
