I transferred to yale but have lived on college av and livi. it was pretty nice and the classes were easy, also tremendous fucking curve in everything. campuses are annoying to get around tho.
it's a pretty good price if you live in state and their programs are all around solid. philosophy department is fantastic and math is pretty good. student research program is worth looking into.

UGA is the stereotypical college campus. The people you notice are the physically fit, Polo wearing frat boys. However, under the surface it is an extremely awesome school. The people are great and interesting. The campus is gorgeous. Athens is a very perfect college town filled with nicnacs and bars for all. It has great professors and is extremely affordable.

I am actually going for aerospace as well. I went to a small stem high school so I can deal with the people(I kinda hung out with the delinquents of the school though). Being around people other than engineering majors does seem like a more interesting experience.

math and philosophy, also took a bunch of literature and some comp sci classes. I've heard the chem department is awful.
if your hs grades aren't good enough to get into the honors program on admission, it's still pretty easy to get in sophomore year because of how many high-curve intro classes you'll be taking. just be serious about it and you'll do well. you'll get access to some "honors only" sections of courses, but honestly it isn't worth it because the instructors are TAs who basically just assign more work than the regular courses.
do get involved in some kind of club or other, the place is fucking huge and once you meet someone you'll probably not be able to run into them randomly
also, I heard the new honors dorms are nice. I had a single in brett hall which was loud and uncomfortable as fuck. livi was ok, although most liberal arts and STEM courses were on busch and college av.

cornell is in ithaca, which is in western new york state (about 5 hours by car from NYC) and there is literally nothing there except some lakes and vast hordes of rednecks and people who grew up in upstate new york (horrible, emotionally unbalanced people with the most unpalatable accent in the US)

Yo, thats hilarious because I'm in "integrative neuroscience" major at LC. I am not a humanities person and LC has the liberal arts majors and theatre and dance, but I really wanted to live in Manhattan so I picked the most sciencey major at LC.
I think it would be silly to think about transferring before we've even gone to the school; I've considered it because an engineering degree would be much more valuable, but I will decided after I've attended the school and gotten a good look at both campuses.

I just get tired of the fake ass art school kids. Everyone here is so fucking judgey and pretentious. Everyone here like to act like their so deep and unique when they're the say 5 archetypes only slightly reskined. The worst part is that everyone is so fucking fake as well, in one year I realized how fucking shallow these snake ass kids are. They also love to gossip. Fuck coloraid. Fuck the amount I'm spending, I'm not learning anything groundbreaking for the money I'm spending here, they only good thing about the school is the opportunities it's opened up for me living in NYC.
