I've been getting the mullet in the back trimmed every so often and I'm letting my top/sides grow out so I can use them to help cover the mullet. Any tips to help get through these? you have to have the right hair length, it has to be thick and have those highlights. if you have those things, some sort of paste or wax should make it malleable enough to sit up like that and stay

Just wet it, then blowdry while combing/brushing it in the direction you want it to go. It's how all barbers/hairdressers do it. I did it myself yesterday. My hair usually falls to the side, but I figured I'd see what it looks like to the back, so I wet it, blow dried it whilc brushing it all back, and it stayed that way the morning after.
I didn't like the look in the end though, so I changed it back.

I have started a proper skincare routine. I use 2% BHA and Retin-A daily. It's getting better. It's just exam stress that's making things worse at the moment.
