I'd say people here usually dress better than other places. Even if its just basic HM-clothes most people that are older than 16 know how to buy fitting clothes and can generally match basic,boring but decent outfits. Lots of checkered/flannel shirts.

I went to Germany in 2008 to stay with relatives for a month. Regrettably, I was kind of into Hollister and Abercrombie as a teenager, and wore a couple shirts over there... and I was literally stopped on the street by girls. They were like "OMG HOLLISTER?".
