harajuku fashion generally, has ALOT of individuality, more so than any other style of clothing, by buying this, you're going to look similar to others who buy it too, thus creating a juxtaposition of "harajuku fashion." I'd call this pseudo-harajuku fashion, as people who buy this shit want to be "unique" but really, they're only going about halfway there.
