Grew up in the hardcore scene
Can confirm that it's not fa at all

But nobody from hardcore can fit into a "battle vest" or whatever
I've honestly never seen anybody faggy enough to try and pass off a thrash metal fit or whatever that's for
Mostly fat minorities. Good guys though

The fuck is a battle jacket?
>>11203341
More commonly appearing as battle vests in my area...leather or denim, you put pins or sew on patches representing how hardcore you are, usually repping bands, ideological movements, and "countercultural" symbols

Cool pins w2c

People do that here in california, but i've never heard people call it a "battle jacket". I thought the OP was talking about something from the army.

nerds who like blackmetal wearthem
Posers wear denim jackets with pins only, no patches (see burger records meme, disturbingly common in CA). Patches usually show you're genuinely into the music scene. But once you hit a certain number of patches it just starts looking like tryhard shit. Personally I hate pins and spikes because having sharp points on you in the pit is a recipe for pain.

kek, I can't tell you how many obese mexicans I've seen at shows wearing vests big enough to fit multiple back patches onto

Some styles are busy, i agree though if it's patches from top to bottom.
You need to hit a common ground in regards to the pacthes and pins.
Otherwise your jacket ends up looking like a patchwork quilt your grandma made.
I usually just go for a backpatch, one over the heart and a few pins scattered.
