Fair enough, m'man! I wouldn't go so far as to say it's wrong, since it mostly boils down to taste. I do think it's too short though.
I don't know them personally, I've only talked to them a few times when placing my first order with them. Great guys though, really well dressed and I like their 'philosophy' when it comes to clothes and building a wardrobe.
Finally picked up my overcoat from them today, been waiting forever. Extremely happy with it!

Where do you live? What type of work? What type of suits will you be wearing?
Brown oxfords are extremely versatile, either in leather or suede. If you want them less formal, go with quarter/semi brogue, if you want them really formal go with wholecuts.
Also, what's your budget? Please consider spending at the very least ~200€, because if you don't, you'll end up with pure shit.
Also think about buying two pairs that you can rotate between. It'll make them last longer and you'll have two pairs of shoes that you can wear - if you give them the right attention and care - for 10-20 years. If you divide the cost of "expensive shoes" by 10/20, the price you pay/year isn't really that bad, so there shouldn't be anything from stopping you from investing in a pair of quality shoes.

I made a thread a few days ago asking about what kind of suit I should wear to my senior year formal, and I'm just here to ask another question or two.
So I was recommended to wear a suit and tie instead of a tuxedo, which is what I'll probably do, but I just remembered that there's a theme for the formal, and it's "Hollywood". That's all it says, the attire on the invitation thing says "Dress to impress", nothing more than that.
I'm assuming that by the Hollywood theme they mean what people would wear to the red carpet? Don't know how that would be different to any other formal event.
And if I were to go with the suit and tie, should I go for black, grey/dark grey, or navy? I've got light-medium brown skin, if that matters at all.
Oh, and as an anon suggested, I looked at the different cuts of suits (English, Italian, American), and was just wondering whether one would be better than the other deepening on my weight? I liked the look of the English cut the most but I'm a little on the heavier side, so I don't know whether that'll matter.
Do suits work well with fat people? Have they ever worked well with fat people?
