What's your biggest regret buy?

Did you spend a ton on some commoner trend like HBA or workwear? Was the fit just shit?

Show /fa/ what you took that L on
>>
I spent a 1000€ on a single pair of boots.
>>
>>11185320
i bought yeezy season 1 work pants in the tan colour for full retail price

they went on sale for like half price a few months later and the pants fit like SHIT, having a hard time selling :(

My biggest regrets are the things I bought from asos 3 years ago when I was starting out here. While all the clothing has fallen apart long ago, the shoes have been worn once or twice because they're so embarrassingly cheap and uncomfortable
>>
Probably most of my OG Lang stuff
He's definitely one of my favorite designers and the pieces are all super amazing and innovative but I mostly rock a different look so it all sits in my closet
I don't wear it and I don't have the space and budget to keep it all in archival condition
Might just start selling it
>>
>>11185470
What the fuck, if you have OG pieces of HL that are collectinf dust and you regret buying then what the fuck did you move on to? Full CCP wtf? Also what pieces/sizes do you have. Im super into Helmut Lang archival pieces.

Never use the stuff, going to sell it to a pleb friend probably.

All my stupidest purchases were the shit I cheaped out on, like some H&M shirts, but that's only like $30 down the drain so I can't really complain.

Maybe my supreme hoodie? But if I truly regretted it I can still sell it and even then break even because it's hyped.

Lol yeah I'm mostly into that artisanal shit now
lots of Sruli Recht, Devoa, Viridi-Anne and the like.
I sold most of my crazy Lang pieces a while back. I think all I have now is some cargo pants with like ten zippers and the zipper waistband, a few bondage shirts, and a few mesh tees with various reflective stripes, maybe a double layered knit
>>
>>11185360
Those shoes are excellent. What size do you wear? If they are 12-13, send them to me.
>>
>>11185913
Yeah, makes sense. I figured you had to have moved on to real artisanal garments if you are getting away from HL, as that is leagues ahead of the typical /fa/ goer.

I spent thousands upon thousands on HBA. A few months later, Rocky released his song. Literally a week later, nobody wore HBA. I couldn't even resell it. I would get countless messages telling me my shit was weak. I became physically ill at all the laughs I would get by the hypest of beasts who now magically all wore yeezy and slp. I cried walking into that McDonald's. After waiting in line, my SNATCH TRAP jersey and HBA gear was soaked in tears and I was shaking. I ordered my meal (a twenty peice nugget and fries), and tried to hand my money to the attractive young cashier. She giggled and leaned in close. "You can keep that", she softly renarked, and canceled my order from the register, before getting her manager to escort me out.

4 years ago when I didn't know how to dress at all, I jumped on the MFA meme train and bought a pair of iron rangers at full retail (300 CAD). wore them probably 10 times, gave them to a friend 6 months ago who had always wanted a pair.

Also (around the same time) was reading GQ and took the "size down! People get everything way too big!" Advice completely the wrong way and bought a bunch of clothes that are waaaaaay too tight. I only really kicked that habit recently and now have a closet full of clothes that don't really fit. Including a black reigning champ hoodie that's a size small :(

I also just impulse buy a lot of shit and regret it later even now.

The piping around the ankle, the lettering on the sides, the rope laces, the chunky sole(can be cool---not the case here though), the cheap looking material...
Other than being black they really don't have much going for them.

I wear my black derbies with pretty much anything. They're clean, sleek, minimalistic and inoffensive footwear.

Yours look like bulky plastic monstrosities.

Footwear and outerwear are worth spending on, m8.

Fair enough thanks for that, I will see how they look like IRL.

I will replace the laces and usually wear my pants down (so over the piping around the ankle) and I'll use them mainly for walking - I assume once they're broken into they'll look better.

This is not a consolation though as I still enjoy them (mainly the chunky sole).
