Many reasons, but I guess the biggest one is because we keep giving attention to people like the karashians/jenners/social media thots/etc, basically rewarding this look, which in turn makes more people use excessive make up, which in turn makes people use even more to stand out, and so on and so on.
And also, because truthfully it usually does kinda look good (selfie is shitty though). Howver it absolutely does not look authentic, wich is pretty much what normal guys look for in women.

I don't think people realize that for both women AND men, that tiny/thin lips can really hinder your appearance - and improving them by fillers or surgery can make a huge difference. That's the main difference you see with Kylie. It's just that she went overboard in getting them bigger/fuller, plus combining it with excessive makeup.

It's just a different aesthetic.
