How do I clean these so I can wear them out again without looking homeless by the end of the summer?
I already threw them in the washing machine a while back but it didn't do much. Should I bleach them?

did you drop them in a sewer wtf

Bleaching them will destroy the canvas fabric

Soak in water for like 5 hours and then scrub them with a sponge.
I wear slide sandals or go barefoot in the summer.

Get a cup of water, mix with a tea spoon of soda, and rub the shoes with s toothbrush with the mix. Let them dry. Avoid sunlight and radiator heat. Just put them where the sun don't shine.

If this doesn't work, get the powdered oxyclean, and put a scoop in a little dish or something, then add water slowly in increments and mix it up until you have like a paste. It won't completely become uniform, that's ok. Then use some sort of stiff brush like one of those fingernail/hand cleaning ones you can get in CVS and scrub the paste into the shoes with it for a while, using hot water to work it in if needed, then let them sit until almost dry, resoak as you are doing now in a bucket with oxyclean/water solution, let sit for a good while, rinse or put through the rinse cycle in your washing machine, and dry.
That concentrated oxyclean paste will get out almost any stain ever. It is a bit rough on the fabric, but canvas sneakers can take it.
they are cheap sneakers just buy new ones
