Make up is not designed for different gender skins. It will react exactly the same on male or female skin, except male skin has a different collagen structure which will hold up better if you're too rough rubbing it on your face - but not something any make up is designed to react to one way or another.
BB cream isn't designed for men, it's just a lighter (in coverage not colour) alternative to foundation, usually just a tinted moisturiser with spf from western brands but with added skincare benefits from Asian, specifically Korean, brands. Based off German creams used for after cosmetic surgeries iirc.

Depends what you want it for.
If for the skincare benefits, then probably not. Just get the specific skincare items you need instead.
If it's for all over coverage, again probably not.
I personally think BB Creams are a bit of a waste if you're not getting a Korean one because the western ones are often just overpriced tinted moisturisers and usually lacking in shade range.
And you can usually get similar results just mixing a foundation with your moisturiser to get the desired sheerness level.
But unless very slight and even discolouration over the face is your issue, concealer is more important than an all over base.
It's the same mistake a lot of girls make when they start with make up - going for the all over coverage base before concealer.
Unless the discolouration I mentioned above is your issue, concealing cleverly and using only the minimum needed makes you look far better than shoving a bb cream or a foundation all over your face.
Most people just have a few problem areas - around the nose redness, dark circles or a few spots if you suffer from them - so it makes less sense to cover everything for every day.
And no, I don't use one. I've got a couple of concealers I use together for every day and a light foundation for when I need something more or for special occasions.
