dope mate, I'd always thought paraboot was the only akternative with better quality. sadly hard to size here in australia, dope nonetheless
>>11154206
haha never thought pics from this brand would end up here, they're called tsptr or something similar and make some pretty nice if a little over priced stuff.
>>11154384
Yeah I have been following the brand for a few years they're the only western brand aside Tracksmith (and to a lesser extent Homage) that is taking old 60s logos and putting them on wellmade tees
do you tuck in your shirt in the summer?
>>11154376
do not buy paraboots without trying them on, I work at a store that sells them and they're the least consistent things in the world
>>11154539

Can I dress prep if I'm Indian?
Looking for a pic that fits the aesthetic of this thread, guy is wearing an turtleneck with pants to midcalf with long socks. The turtle neck might have been orange???
Anyone have it?
why is navyblazer so cuckcore?
>>11154833
Thank you senpai
>>11157045
Navy Blazers can sometimes come off as too "precious" and make it look like you're trying too hard to dress up, while also implying that your wardrobe is too small and basic to do it with anything but the first item of big boy clothing your mom got you. Aesthetically, there's nothing wrong with the navy blazer, but it's just too basic now.

perhaps the anti-thesis of prep.
please do more research on ivy league, prep and trad before posting pics of any guy in suit and tie.
It sucks that wearing a jacket makes you look out of place nowadays.
>>11161210
I feel you. I feel like an outcast just by wearing a nicely tucked in shirt with pants that are not jeans and leather shoes.
>>11161210
I think unstructured cotton, linen or seersucker jackets can blend just enough that you don't look like a total weirdo in the grocery store in them.
>>11154300

i don't like black culture for the most part, and dindus really grind my gears, but i'll be the first to admit that blacks wear prep styles soo well. like, at the risk of getting my rightwing card revoked, i'll admit that blacks in prep often look better than whites.

Most men wear socks with loafers, don't let the no sock frat boy "prep fool you"
However, as in the pic, the white socks with loafer look is recognized as "ivy league" (or prep) but note the socks are white wool (wool was more standard material then) athletic socks, not cheap cotton tube socks, and in real life, they look more cream color since wool can't ever look bleached white.
The idea behind the white sock and loafer look is based on the premise that loafers are versitile footwear, you can wear them like you would wear sneakers (hence the white wool atheletic socks) or you can wear loafers with a suit (no white socks of course).
It's not a bad look if done right, but it is bordering on costume if you ask me , since if you go out and buy penny loafers for first time and white socks, you aren't really "easing into them" like a "real prep".
See pic related,
Take Ivy shows bunch of guys with loafers and white socks
there is more famous one if you just google "white sock loafer take ivy" he is wear shorts and black loafers and white socks
>>11163030
what? i'm far-right, but i'll admit blacks look good in prep. what's the problem desuu
>>11162818
I think it's a pretty old man look and for younger people no socks or no-show socks is probably better. But I guess I'm saying that because I usually wear loafers when it's pretty warm and with casual clothing, and I wouldn't really wear them with dress pants and a jacket like he is. In his case I guess some nice looking and thin socks are ok but still probably not my preference.

>"prep fool you"
>>11162818
his blog name is "wearingtheivyleaguelooksince1958" so I'm sure he knows what he's doing. He worked at an ivy clothing store as well.
Are linen pants ever prep?
>>11162818
Yes, socks with loafers is 100% gucci
Someone's already touched on how the "white" socks work, so I'll point out that loud patterned socks are also very prep. Stuff like stripes, argyle, unusual colors.
A businessman matches his socks to his suit. A gentleman grabs a pair of socks from his drawer without looking.

Thinking of copping my first pair of Weejun loafers. Should I go black or burgundy?
>>11164957
This is real bad. That jacket doesn't even fit, the shirt collar is comically wide and those jeans are way off.
