I'll give it a try once the bugs start being a bother again, with both masks.
I don't get out of breath much, but it might get humid, since the worst of the gnat clouds are during peak summer. Though that's still preferable to the undetermined amounts of protein I end up swallowing on my rides.
And it would also keep bugs out of my mouth.
