beat sneakers always look better than new sneakers, and there is a sweet spot, but the best thing to do is just not give a shit
i never do anything to my boots and get compliments on their worn in beat up look, they look more worn now than this pic but still. In my opinion dirty footwear can look good but it has to be from wear, theres a difference between it being dirty because youve rocked them for a year+ and them being dirty because you just stepped in a pile of shit and are lazy

I don't like it, either. Shoes with reasonable wear (but no holes) can look great, but as soon as they become dirty and/or ripped up, I find them repulsive.
Honestly, some people fawn over beat-to-shit, filthy Vans - but whenever I see pictures of such shoes, they make me want to vomit.

I had some shirts when I was younger that had a corduroy like ribbing and I was looking to buy some of them but I can't find anything like them.
