This hairstyle looks crazy in real life/ up close because of the sheer amount of product involved and is REALLY difficult to pull off.
Basically grow out your hair until its falling below your ears, then go get your haircut. Get most of your sides shaved, and your back trimmed decently short. as for styling, just reference this picture when doing it, probably a combination of mousse and hairspray.
Odds are you will just look like pic related if you dont have the 30 minutes neccessary every morning to do this

Wash your hair like normal.
Get a little scented beard oil or unscented almond oil and put it on your palms and then run it through your hair.
Lightly oiling your hair will give you the messy, unwashed look without smelling bad.

only if you sweat a lot. i have a lot of friends who have done no poo and it never made their hair smell bad, it just doesnt smell at all unless you sniff their scalp
