Pure orange is commonly associated with warning colours / reflective vests, or otherwise functional attire.
I'd wager most people consider orange a standout colour when compared to blue, red, purple, pink, even with similar saturation/brightness. That's kind of what makes it a favourite of mine.
I hate orange, but Ann D uses it really well here, IMO
Louis Vuitton has done some amazing things with the orange / grey pairing.

Orange is basically an 'advanced" color, you really need to know how to wear it and have a strong understanding of color theory.
I remember when I was just starting out and only wore black and very safe, neutral colors. I look back on some of my older fits and cringe.
