I have a visa interview at the US embassy in London on Monday. Can I get away with wearing a t-shirt and jeans to it? My only other plausible clothes are a shirt and trouser suit, and a cocktail dress.
(I'm assuming cycling gear and gym clothing are inappropriate.)

I'm being serious. I'd rather wear something comfortable if I can get away with it.

What's that?

Jeans and tee will be fine. Just act like an ordinary non-hostile civilian. Try to not seem poor or desperate. If you really want to make an effort out of paranoia, go with business casual.
Don't forget your Casio F91W.

Not likely. I'll be wearing pic related.

God damn. How long until we have to pay for special secure air, because oxygen is often used by terrorists for the purposes of respiration and combustion?
Get a cheap fairly smart collared shirt to wear with jeans

Gone to the same embassy myself twice for working in the us, just wear a casual shirt and jeans, it honestly doesn't matter if you're not bloody 'effay' as they'll only ask you a few questions and send you along.
