My personal stance, and you may find your own opinion to be different, it's okay to style with milsurp/military clothing as long as you aren't pretending to be something you aren't.
An M65 or bundeswehr parka styled with normal attire is perfectly okay. Wearing BDU pants in any vintage camouflage pattern is effay depending on how you style it, and so on and so forth.
