Gonna do the short hair thing for a bit while I work away from home this month, need something low maintenance.
How do I get my barber to do this?
Can this be done in real life? Will it look good? What is the style called?

Is short military inspired type stuff ok?
Just need something low maintenance that I can whack some product in in the evenings to minimally style so I can maybe spend an hour or two at a bar without looking like an asshole.

Short military stuff looks good, but even more so if you have a rectangular head shape like both pictures.
Show the barber the pic and specify the amount of undercut you want. I personally think Gyllenhal looks better because there isn't as much contrast in length tone on the top and bottom, but that's up to your prerogative.
